Resolution 6155, a Resolution Selecting the Official City Newspaper, Acting 15 Mayor, Treasurer, and Official Depositories for 2004. 16 17 Council Member Marty was inserted as acting Mayor. 18 19 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Quick. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6155, a 20 Resolution Selecting the Official City Newspaper, Acting Mayor, Treasurer, and Official 21 Depositories for 2004. 22 23 Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 24 25 E. Resolution 6156, a Resolution Appointing City Council Members and City 26 Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and Other Organizations. 27 28 Council filled in the required blanks in the Resolution. The appointments were the same as the 29 prior year. 30 31 Council Member Marty commented that this is the second year that Council Member Quick has 32 not been appointed to anything. 33 34 Mayor Linke indicated that he and Council Member Quick have discussed this before and Mr. 35 Quick is not available for these meetings due to his work schedule. 36 37 Council Member Stigney asked whether the banquet center committee should be included. 38 39 Community Development Director Ericson indicated that there is no longer an agreement with 40 the banquet center manager that requires that type of participation. 41 42 Council Member Marty indicated he has attempted to telephone the new management and has 43 not received a return call. 44 45
