<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6181 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING STAFF TO PREPARE AND DISTRIBUTE A REQUEST FOR <br />PROPOSALS (RFP) TO ESTABLISH AND CONFIRM WETLAND ZONING DISTRICT <br />BOUNDARIES IN THE SPRING CREEK BASIN <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council has adopted ordinances to protect and <br />preserve development in and near wetlands; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such enforcement is based on set of maps adopted in the 1980s which <br />attempt to identify wetlands and wetland buffers in the City; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these maps have not been updated or revised and in some cases no <br />longer depict an accurate representation of the present-day hydrology; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the map identifying the Spring Creek Basin located south of Woodale <br />Drive, east of Pleasant View Drive, north of County Road H and west of Silver Lake Road (as <br />shown on Exhibit A) is one such area in need of reevaluation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View authorizes staff to prepare and distribute a Request For Proposals (RFP) to experienced <br />consultants to conduct a hydrology and wetland study of the Spring Creek Basin and to redraft <br />the wetland zoning district boundaries accordingly. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council directs staff <br />to present the proposals to the Council for future consideration. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that this approval in no way <br />authorizes or approves any work to be conducted on the project except that work necessary <br />for the consultant at their own expense to submit said RFP for the City’s consideration. <br /> <br /> <br /> Adopted this 9th day of February, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />(SEAL)
