To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6170, a 9 <br />Resolution Approving the 2003 L.E.L.S. Local 232 Labor Agreement. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if the language covers a new hire or a promotion. 12 <br /> 13 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated it would apply to either a new hire or a promotion. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 16 <br /> 17 <br />F. Resolution 6177, a Resolution Approving a Permit Application for Merrick, 18 <br />Inc., a Charitable Organization to Conduct Charitable Gambling at Robert’s 19 <br />Sports Bar and Entertainment Located in the City of Mounds View. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether a condition of approval is that most of the funds would be 22 <br />spent in Mounds View. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Desaree Crane indicated that she would receive tax documents as well as a list of where the 25 <br />money is spent. 26 <br /> 27 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney. Resolution 6173, a Resolution Authorizing the Replacement of the Police 35 <br />Department’s Automatic External Defibrillators Utilizing Grant Funds, 36 <br />Grant Matching Funds and Forfeiture Funds. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether the one needing work would be repaired. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Chief Sommer indicated that it is usually cost prohibitive. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Chief Sommer explained that the grant from the American Heart Association allows the City to 43 <br />purchase $10,700 worth of defibrillators for expending $2,000. 44 <br /> 45
