To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6173, a 3 Resolution Authorizing the Replacement of the Police Department’s Automatic External 4 Defibrillators Utilizing Grant Funds, Grant Matching Funds and Forfeiture Funds. 5 6 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 7 8 I. Resolution 6168, a Resolution Approving an Area Identification Sign for 9 Scotland Green Apartments. 10 11 Council Member Marty commented that Scotland Green has been paying taxes at the 12 condominium rate and not the rate of an apartment. 13 14 Planner Prososki indicated she has not spoken with other Staff but she spoke to Ramsey County 15 and was told that they are paying the same amount regardless of the designation because the 16 difference comes into play with homestead or non-homestead. She then agreed to look into it 17 further. 18 19 Council Member Marty commented that signage is over City requirements. 20 21 MOTION/SECOND: Marty. To Postpone. 22 23 The Motion failed for lack of a second. 24 25 Mayor Linke agreed that something needs to be done but he does not feel it is right to hold this 26 up. 27 28 Council Member Marty commented that the sign could not be installed until the ground thaws. 29 30 Council Member Gunn indicated the Resolution does not state which type of sign. 31 32 Planner Prososki indicated that the applicant said that the sign could be determined by Council 33 but they prefer Option B, the four-sided sign. 34 35 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6168, a 36 Resolution Approving an Area Identification Sign for Scotland Green Apartments. 37 38 Council Member Marty indicated he had no issue with the sign but he would like to have the 39 condominium and apartment tax rate straightened out. 40 41 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 42 43
