RESOLUTION NO. 6195 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SEVERANCE PAYMENT FOR REED KROGH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Reed Krogh has served the City of Mounds View for 27 years; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sergeant Reed Krogh’s last day of employment with the City was <br />January 31, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, LELS, Local 232, negotiated to have the cash pay-out option for <br />sick leave for employees hired prior to January 1, 2004 removed from the Sergeant’s <br />2003 labor contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sergeant Reed Krogh is entitled to the following benefits per the <br />LELS Sergeant’s Contract: <br /> 100% of accrued vacation time <br />220.09 hours of vacation at $31.99 per hour equals $7,040.68 <br /> <br /> 65% of sick leave accrued for use toward the retiree’s group health, dental, <br />and/or life insurance premiums for as long as the funds are available up to the <br />retiree’s 65th birthday. <br />1,763.50 hours of accrued sick leave times 65% equals 1,146.28 hours. <br />1,146.28 hours at $31.99 equals $36,669.50. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View approves the payment of $7,040.68 of accrued vacation time to Reed <br />Krogh, the reservation of $36,669.50 of accrued sick time for payment of future <br />retiree’s group health, dental, and/or life insurance premiums for Reed Krogh, and <br />the future adjustment of these amounts based upon a 2004 labor contract. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 12th day of January, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL)
