RESOLUTION NO. 6205 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPOINTING BENJAMIN ZENDER TO THE <br />POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the hiring of three Police Officers, <br />and the Police Civil Service Commission has approved the procedures for establishing <br />an eligibility register to fill these vacancies, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, resume scoring, oral interviews, background investigations, physical <br />examination, psychological examination, and physical agility testing, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />openings, and Benjamin Zender is one of the three top candidates standing on the <br />eligibility register, and his background investigation, physical, psychological, and <br />physical agility testing have all been successfully completed, and: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has met with Mr. Zender, and the Chief <br />recommends he be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Benjamin Zender to the position of Police Officer at the step one <br />rate of pay as stipulated in the Law Enforcement Labor Services contract. <br /> <br />Adopted this 8th day of March 2004. <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich <br />City Clerk/Administrator <br />(SEAL)
