To Approve Resolution 6189, a Resolution of Appreciation 1 <br />for Janet Quick, Police Civil Service Commission. 2 <br /> 3 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 4 <br /> 5 <br />7. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 6 <br /> 7 <br /> A. Just and Correct Claims 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Marty asked for further information on Check Number 112753 to the City 10 <br />Attorney. 11 <br /> 12 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated that there were issues with regard to the status with Ramsey 13 <br />County that he worked on for the Community Center. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether the charges for Longview Estates could be passed on to 16 <br />the developer. 17 <br /> 18 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated that it would most likely not be possible to do so. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Stigney asked for further information on Check Number 112757 to the YMCA 21 <br />in the amount of $6,344. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Finance Director Hansen explained that each year in January the YMCA sends the City a check 24 <br />for $20,000 as a payment of surplus revenues over expenses but, this year, the amount was only 25 <br />$13,656 so the City is refunding the overpayment. 26 <br /> 27 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. Resolution 6194, Approving the License Renewal Application for the Twin 35 <br />Cities North Chamber of Commerce to Allow Charitable Gambling at Jake’s 36 <br />Sports Café in the City of Mounds View. 37 <br />C. Resolution 6197, Approving a Temporary Gambling Permit for the New 38 <br />Brighton/Mounds View Rotary to Allow Charitable Gambling at The 39 <br />Mermaid on April 30, 2004. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Marty requested that Item B removed for discussion. 42 <br /> 43 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney.
