RESOLUTION NO. 6207 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPOINTING TIMOTHY WOLF AND KEITH DEMAREST TO THE POSITIONS OF POLICE OFFICER WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the hiring of two additional Police Officers, and the Police Civil Service Commission has approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility register to fill these vacancies, and; WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written examination, resume scoring, oral interviews, background investigations, physical examination, psychological examination, and physical agility testing, and; WHEREAS, the current Civil Service Commission eligibility list is as follows: #1 Timothy Wolf, #2 Keith Demarest, #3 Matthew Carlson, and #4 Spencer Scofield, and; WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has met with the #1 candidate, Mr. Wolf, and the #2 candidate, Mr. Demarest. The Police Chief recommends both Mr. Wolf and Mr. Demarest be appointed to the position of Police Officer, pending their successful completion of a psychological evaluation, medical evaluation, background investigation and physical agility testing, and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby appoint Timothy Wolf (effective 4-12-04), and Keith Demarest (effective 4- 26-04) to the positions of Police Officer at the step one rate of pay as stipulated in the Law Enforcement Labor Services contract. This appointment shall be contingent on the candidates successfully completing a psychological evaluation, medical evaluation, background investigation and physical agility testing.
