Public Hearing to Consider the Hidden Hollow Preliminary Plat 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Community Development Director Ericson reviewed the preliminary plat with Council and the 9 <br />residents in attendance. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether the filling of the wetlands on the Brennan property had 12 <br />been considered with this plat so as not to create future issues with drainage as well as whether 13 <br />there would be access for City equipment to clean out the drainage areas. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Director Ericson explained that there are easements in place that allow for access for 16 <br />maintenance. He then said that the development would be containing all water on site. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether a larger catch basin could resolve the issue with the 19 <br />Brennan property. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that the Engineers have reviewed the plan and feel that the 22 <br />water issues are appropriately handled. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Director Ericson indicated that Rice Creek Watershed District would be reviewing the plan to 25 <br />make sure that water is handled appropriately. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Gary Nordness addressed Council and indicated that there are only a couple of items remaining 28 <br />on the issues list. He then said that all water will be contained on site. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. 31 <br /> 32 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney. To Approve the Hidden Hollow Preliminary Plat as 33 <br />Presented. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Member Quick commented that he would not be voting to approve this request as he 36 <br />does not feel that this is the highest and best use of the property for the benefit of the City. He 37 <br />then said that he feels more taxes could be brought into the City if this were developed correctly. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1(Quick) Motion carried. 40 <br /> 41 <br />F.
