Mounds View City Council May 10, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br />Golf Course Manager Berg reviewed this matter with Council and explained that the reason 1 <br />behind the name change is to help with identity because she hears almost on a daily basis that the 2 <br />course is in Blaine. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Stigney expressed concern with having such a long name when including the 5 <br />training center portion. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Golf Course Manager Berg indicated that most of the advertising would use The Bridges of 8 <br />Mounds View. 9 <br /> 10 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6241, a 11 <br />Resolution Changing the Name of the Golf Course to The Bridges of Mounds View. 12 <br /> 13 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 14 <br /> 15 <br />G. Resolution 6164, Approving the Purchase of a Replacement Sewer Televising 35 <br />Unit 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether it was necessary to purchase another van and whether it 38 <br />would be more cost effective to share this type of equipment or service with another city. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that Staff looked into sharing this with another City and it is 41 <br />not feasible to do so. He then explained that the trailer costs less but the tow vehicle and trailer 42 <br />take up twice the amount of room in the street creating a hazard. He further commented that the 43 <br />tow vehicle and trailer is more difficult to maneuver creating the potential for issues. 44 <br /> 45
