Mounds View City Council May 24, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 20 <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn indicated that this particular group was trying to have one of the Mermaid 1 <br />personnel at the planning meetings and nobody has shown up. She then said that the Irondale 2 <br />tennis people had their banquet there and were not happy so she feels it is time to look into it. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Quick asked whether the City Administrator has had any meetings with the 5 <br />Unions since the last meeting with Council. 6 <br /> 7 <br />City Administrator Ulrich said no. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Quick commented that since Council spoke last there have been no meetings 10 <br />and the AFSCME representative made a comment that the City has not met with them since the 11 <br />last meeting so there have been two meetings with Staff and Council and nobody has met with 12 <br />the union. 13 <br /> 14 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that it was discussed at the last meeting where the tentative 15 <br />agreement was rejected and he did meet with the union after that meeting and there was one 16 <br />meeting after that. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether the last scheduled meeting between the City and 19 <br />AFSCME took place. 20 <br /> 21 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated there was a meeting scheduled with AFSCME as a second 22 <br />mediation session after rejecting the tentative agreement and AFSCME declined the meeting. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Stigney asked for an update on the Lions Club and the bus. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mayor Linke indicated that the Lions would be discussing the matter this week and something 27 <br />would be brought to Council for consideration. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Linke noted that the street improvement project assessment hearing and the resolutions 30 <br />that go along with that would be discussed at the June 14, 2004 Council Meeting at 7:16 p.m. 31 <br /> 32 <br />B. Staff 33 <br /> 34 <br />None. 35 <br /> 36 <br /> C. City Attorney 37 <br /> 38 <br />City Attorney Riggs reported that there has been a dismissal with prejudice of the litigation with 39 <br />the State of Minnesota v. American Hardware.
