Mounds View City Council August 9, 2004 Regular Meeting Page 3 Mayor Linke read Resolution 6321 and presented it to Deputy Chief Tim Brennan. The Mayor 1 and the Council congratulated Deputy Chief Brennan on his new position and thanked him for 2 his service to the City of Mounds View. 3 Deputy Chief Brennan stated it had been a pleasure working in Mounds View, and he had 4 especially enjoyed his time spent on the DARE Program. 5 6 8. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS. 7 8 Council Member Stigney asked what the items for Amem Training and Conference and Breezy 9 Point Resort were on page 3 for $480 and $150. 10 11 Finance Director Hansen stated that Amem is Association of Metro Emergency Managers, and it 12 is for purposes of training since Deputy Chief Brennan is leaving, and it is being held at Breezy 13 Point Resort. 14 15 Council Member Stigney asked what the dish network item was on page 7 for $472. 16 17 Finance Director Hansen stated it is for an Internet connection at the golf course that is used for 18 people to view their registration for rounds. 19 20 Council Member Stigney asked what the item for landscaping for tree removal of $5,372 was on 21 page 12. 22 23 Finance Director Hansen stated it was for elm and oak trees that are diseased and need to be 24 removed. 25 26 Public Works Director Lee stated the trees are scattered throughout the community. 27 28 Council Member Stigney asked what the item for Internet was on page 18. 29 30 Finance Director Hansen stated it is an annual fee charged for the actual monthly service 31 subscriber fee for the web site for the golf course. 32 33 Council Member Stigney stated Peoples PC is available for $10.95 a month, so he didn’t know 34 why they were paying $19.95 a month for that. 35 36 MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney.
