Mounds View City Council August 9, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />Mayor Linke read Resolution 6321 and presented it to Deputy Chief Tim Brennan. The Mayor 1 <br />and the Council congratulated Deputy Chief Brennan on his new position and thanked him for 2 <br />his service to the City of Mounds View. 3 <br />Deputy Chief Brennan stated it had been a pleasure working in Mounds View, and he had 4 <br />especially enjoyed his time spent on the DARE Program. 5 <br /> 6 <br />8. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Stigney asked what the items for Amem Training and Conference and Breezy 9 <br />Point Resort were on page 3 for $480 and $150. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Finance Director Hansen stated that Amem is Association of Metro Emergency Managers, and it 12 <br />is for purposes of training since Deputy Chief Brennan is leaving, and it is being held at Breezy 13 <br />Point Resort. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Stigney asked what the dish network item was on page 7 for $472. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Finance Director Hansen stated it is for an Internet connection at the golf course that is used for 18 <br />people to view their registration for rounds. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Stigney asked what the item for landscaping for tree removal of $5,372 was on 21 <br />page 12. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Finance Director Hansen stated it was for elm and oak trees that are diseased and need to be 24 <br />removed. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated the trees are scattered throughout the community. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Council Member Stigney asked what the item for Internet was on page 18. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Finance Director Hansen stated it is an annual fee charged for the actual monthly service 31 <br />subscriber fee for the web site for the golf course. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Stigney stated Peoples PC is available for $10.95 a month, so he didn’t know 34 <br />why they were paying $19.95 a month for that. 35 <br /> 36 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney.
