<br />RESOLUTION NO. 6342 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPOINTING TOM KINNEY TO THE POSITION OF <br />DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, four applications were received for the position of Deputy Police <br />Chief, and went through a scored promotion process approved by the Mounds View <br />Police Civil Service Commission, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Civil Service Commission certified the top three <br />candidates, and the top candidate is Tom Kinney and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has met with Mr. Kinney and recommends he be <br />appointed to the position of Deputy Police Chief. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Tom Kinney to the position of Deputy Police Chief at the step 3 <br />rate of pay as stipulated in the Mounds View Personnel rules for the position, with <br />progression to step 4 after 6 months, and step 5 after 18 months from his appointment <br />date of September 14, 2004. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of September 2004. <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich <br />City Clerk/Administrator <br />(SEAL)
