City Council Minutes August 9, 2004 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Marty requested the minutes be amended at page 11, line 36, after “offered by 7 <br />the Mermaid,” to start a new paragraph with, “He asked a question.” Also, at line 39, to have “of 8 <br />Lancers” added after, “percent surcharge added to the final invoices.” He also requested at page 9 <br />14, line 25, to add the words “the old” before “Andy Griffith Show.” 10 <br /> 11 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. Reports of Mayor and Council. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Gunn thanked everyone for attending the Festival in the Park yesterday and 21 <br />stated that the fireworks had been great. Council Member Stigney concurred that the fireworks 22 <br />were great. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Marty thanked the volunteers who had helped with the golf tournament and the 25 <br />Festival in the Park. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Linke stated he had attended the awards ceremony for the Safety Camp and that there had 28 <br />been a moving speed from one of the police officers regarding wearing seat belts. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Dave Jahnke stated that he would call Council Member Gunn with the number to call with 31 <br />complaints regarding the planes coming to the airport, and Council Member Gunn stated if 32 <br />anybody would like that number, to call her. 33 <br /> 34 <br />. Mailbox Ordinance. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Public Works Director Lee explained the new mailbox ordinance and stated that he had been 39 <br />contacted by citizens who wanted this issue brought before the City Council to express their 40 <br />views. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Chris Franke, 7635 Groveland Road, stated she was of the understanding from the notice she had 43 <br />received that when the project was completed that they would have the same configuration of 44 <br />mailboxes.
