<br />Item 09E <br />Meeting Date: September 13, 2004 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />City Administrator Review: _______ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6348 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE ON THE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF’S EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team <br />(S.E.R.T.) is seeking participation from police officers from suburban departments to <br />serve on the team, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, members who are selected to serve on the team receive invaluable <br />training and opportunity that would otherwise not be afforded to them on individual <br />suburban police departments, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, service on the team requires a commitment of one day per month of <br />training and subject to call outs throughout the county with an understanding that their <br />first priority lies with their home department. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby authorize one Mounds View Police Officer to participate on the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team with the understanding that this service <br />will be considered a temporary assignment. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of September 2004. <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> _______________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich <br />City Clerk/Administrator <br />(SEAL)
