Crane, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6363 Assigning Officer Darrell Meyer to <br />the position of Investigator with the Mounds View <br />Police Department <br /> <br /> <br />On September 14, 2004, Tom Kinney was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police. <br />This caused the Investigator position to become vacant. Only one officer, <br />(Darrell Meyer) expressed an interest in the Investigator assignment opening. <br /> <br />The Investigator is an assignment within the Mounds View Police Department. <br />The Chief of Police has assigned Officer Darrell Meyer to the position, effective <br />Monday, September 20, 2004. In accordance with the 2003 LELS Contract, <br />Officer Meyer will be at Step 2 ($28.20) of the Pay Scale for the Investigator <br />assignment. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff seeks Council approval to proceed with assigning Officer Darrell Meyer to <br />the position of Investigator.
