Choose the future.
Discussion
The EDA will discuss tagline options again on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 and in the
meantime; they want to hear residents' ideas. For your information, listed below are six
taglines that the EDA discussed on May 11, 2009 as options:
• • Two Words. One Community. • You'll enjoy the view
• Close enough. Far enough. • Where community matters
• Where you want to be • Make it yours
City staff also has attached reading material that might make it easier for the EDC to
suggest new taglines for the City. One article provides ten steps to creating a tagline
(many of which Mounds. View has already taken) and another article provides lists of
many other city taglines. Finally, a report to the City Council of Tracy Brand Base in
California describes how they chose a new tagline last summer that, in City staff's
opinion, is exactly the type of tagline Mounds View needs because it is unique yet
describes the City geographically.
•
EDC Item 6B—May 15,2009
Review City Tagline Options
