After my family, my hobbies and interests are following sports at the professional, college, and high school levels, home projects including maintaining my home and yard to the best of my abilities, my automobiles, reading books about history and sports, particularly biographies, and collecting old (pre-1970) sports collector cards. At the professional level at my place of employment, my recognized skills by colleagues and management are planning, communication, implementation, and the ability to bring a group of individuals together as a team to work towards accomplishing a common goal that meets the objectives of the Business. Em tbo ment Occu ation or Other Ex I erience: I have worked for Deluxe Corporation for 35 years, and the majority of these years have been spent working for the Vice-President responsible for Deluxe's manufacturing operations. My responsibilities have included yearly budget planning and strategic planning including participation in the development of a manufacturing strategy that has resulted in the consolidation of 60+ manufacturing facilities to today's present 8 facilities. • I have also had Project Manager responsibility for major manufacturing project initiatives that have involved developing and implementing new technologies and processes into all manufacturing operations. This responsibility has included managing projects with budgets ranging from $ 10 million to $ 25 million. Earlier in my Deluxe career when Deluxe was opening and/or expanding manufacturing operations rather than consolidating them, I had involvement in the planning of new or expanded facilities including development of the physical building layout and the layout of the physical manufacturing equipment inside the facility. Membership, Accomplishments, or Other Qualifications: In addition to 35 years of work experience in the Business world, I graduated magna cum laude in 1974 from California State University, Northridge with. a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. I am also a certified Project Manager or PIMP (Project Management Professional), and belong to the Minnesota Chapter of PMI(Project Management]Institute). I am a present member of the Mounds View Planning Commission, and have served on the Commission since January, 2004. I am a present member of the Mounds View Economic Development Commission. I have served • an the commission since February, 2006, and served as EDC Vice-Chair in 2008 and the Chair person in 2009.
