Lang Nelson Associatesmy employer, is the mos ` awarded(MADACS awards)management company in the Twin Cities,providing excellent services to its more than 2,000 residents. My position at Lang Nelson combines finance,real estate knowledge,and legal knowledge. I work with the property management team to support decisions related to development,acquisition,and financial positioning.As a part of my job, I have attended planning commission and/or city council meetings in Brooklyn Park,Wayzata, Richfield,and St.Anthony. It is of great interest to me to be a part of my company's relationship that it has with the cities that are home to its many properties. I enjoy being a part of the development and planning process,not only for our • properties but also for area issues that pertain to the existence of them.Learning about the process is also of interest to me, I enjoy learning the governmental process that the different cities go through, along with the developer/owner side of things. While in college,and through my work at Lang Nelson, I have taken interest in and learned a lot about community development and sustainable development. I have learned the latest movements in green development,LEED certification,mixed use PUD's,and city development trends.
