Don't have any weaknesses for the city.Good to see a Business Development Coordinator that cares enough to visit us. City is good to work with. All roads get plowed and infrastructure is improved or replaced as needed. Asking why County raised solid waste fees? Has concerns with County if they close Clifton Drive. Otherwise, overall everything seems to be going well.Most of city staff cares about local businesses. Police department is difficult to work with.Roads always plowed, like the road improvements, like the proposed plans to widen street improvement next to their business.Community is a good place to live. City Council and staff are great to work with. Need more parking at current facility. Mennonites don't like to advertise, so this hurts business. They get a lot of business at shows.City supports businesses. County Road H improvements will hinder business due to the possible closure of two entrances. However, traffic will increase at this site.Mounds View is great to work with, staff is very responsive. All concerns were addressed by city staff promptly.Like Mounds View, location to I-35W and friendly city staff. Like the fact that there is a Business Development Coordinator with direct contact to businesses. No issues with the city.This was first contact with city. Need to do something about home businesses. We can't compete because we have to pay sales taxes and they don't because they sell on the internet.Great access to I-35W and 694. Federal would have paid 90% and City 10%. But Council turned it down. They lost an opportunity. Need right turning lane at intersection of Silver Lake Road. Still using old addressing along County Road 10.City services are very good and they support local businesses. City's Water/WW fees for businesses are too high. Need an artery bus route. There is nothing <br />for the western side of the City. Be more engaged in things like Rotary and TCN Chamber, etc. list specific steps on Council Priorities <br />list and explain at Business Council Meetings, Explain housing loan programs and how the bank could cooperate with their FHA <br />Loans Lender person, 1950's homes, architect designs book. City should publish this book and make available to public; how to <br />change and upgrade their housing. <br />Other priority projects to consider <br />They may be willing to sell for a redevelopment if the right business came in and for the right price. <br />Need a turning lane cut for facility. Talking to city staff about this. Mounds View needs a High-Tech Business Park. <br />Watching County Road H bridge project very closely <br />They are displacing a current company that is leasing from them. They have decided not to renew their lease. The other company <br />must be out by next February. <br />Capital equipment purchases <br />Looking at possible rear access from Old Hwy 8. <br />New company, also in transportation, going to purchase Mounds View site soon for same use. <br />Wants more hydrant flushing because he is on a dead end. <br />Looking to expand footprint. Need more fenced area for boats, trucks. Need better lighting & more office space. <br />Will need to talk to city about more parking, maybe at Community Center. <br />Continue MV Business Council meetings, but have coffee & doughnuts and each business can sponsor for $10. Have the Mermaid <br />give surveys after events for feedback on how to improve. Have the MHP as a speaker for landlords and for Affordable Housing on <br />naturally occurring AH with older garden style. Turnover 30% sold. Not receiving the MV Matters in the mail but would like one. <br />OTHER PRIORITY PROJECTS TO CONSIDER
