Crossroad Pointe Redevelopment Project <br />The City Council has decided to contract with INH Properties of Waite Park, MN to build <br />an approximately 120-160 unit market rate apartment building. <br />The number of units will depend on the success of the retail <br />component. The project will be a horizontal mixed-use <br />development with a destination retail component. The <br />destination retail will be an indoor gun range with retail and a <br />lounge for members. The developers are looking at a third <br />component for traditional retail. Staff is working on a pre- <br />development agreement as well as other planning tasks in order <br />to make the project a success. <br /> <br />B. Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) Visits <br />Business Development Coordinator Beeman has completed a BR&E visit with the new <br />Nlilkanth shop located at the corner of County Rd I & Edgewood. The store is set up to <br />be a neighborhood convince shop and they are working on obtaining their liquor license. <br />C. Rice Creek Commons (TCAAP ) Development Update <br />Construction continues on the County Road I Project. The housing starts that were <br />expected to begin at the end of 2017 have been put on hold for one year for a <br />dewatering issue where they are motoring and testing the water on the site. <br /> <br />D. Mounds View Project Updates <br />Website: The initial kick-off meeting with REVIZE was conducted March 13, 2017. <br />REVIZE will be training staff how to use the site soon. REVIZE expects to launch the <br />new website sometime in the beginning of 2018. <br /> <br />E. North Metro Business Council Meeting <br />The last North Metro Business Council meeting was held September 13, 2017 at 7:30 <br />a.m. at the Mermaid Event Center. The speaker was from the National Retail <br />Association who provided information on retail trends and other helpful tips for small <br />businesses. The next meeting will be held December 13, 2017. The topic and speaker <br />is unknown at this time. <br /> <br /> <br />
