Mounds View EDA May 27, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Commission have reviewed the plans and both feel that any of the developers would do an <br />excellent job. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman reviewed the plans submitted by Dave Regel <br />Construction. <br /> <br />Commissioner Marty arrived at 6:39 p.m. <br /> <br />Vice President Stigney indicated that the road to the north would not need to be built unless the <br />other R-1 properties develop. <br /> <br />Commissioner Marty indicated he knew the property owner at 3032 and offered to discuss the <br />redevelopment plan with him. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman indicated he had visited homes built by Mr. Regel <br />and finds them to be an excellently constructed home. He then indicated that Mr. Regel is known <br />and recognized for his accessible homes. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman reviewed the plans submitted by Homes by <br />James. He then indicated he had visited homes built by Homes by James and finds them to be an <br />excellently constructed home. <br /> <br />Vice President Stigney asked how the north south road would line up with Spring Lake Road. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman indicated the road would line up approximately <br />with Lot 1. <br /> <br />President Linke asked where the pond would be located. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman indicated that there were discussions about <br />possibly utilizing Parcel 41 for the pond and adding a second pond in Lot 11. <br /> <br />Commissioner Marty suggested reversing the plan and utilizing cul-de-sacs rather than dead end <br />roads. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman indicated that the developers were told that cul- <br />de-sacs would be required built to City standards. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Backman reviewed the plans submitted by Procraft Homes. <br /> He then indicated that Procraft Homes took the initiative to contact Mr. Vik concerning selling <br />all or a portion of his property and he has expressed an interest in doing so. <br />
