Mounds View EDA March 14, 2005
Regular Meeting Page 3

Commissioner Gunn asked whether the developers or the City should contact the landowners.
Economic Development Coordinator Backman stated he felt the onus should be put on the
developers to contact them because they would be doing the developing.

Director Ericson outlined other good reasons to do a wetland delineation study besides possible
redevelopment of the area.

Commissioner Thomas stated she didn’t see a good reason to pay for a wetland delineation study
at this time when it could expire before they have a concrete idea about the property owners in
the region.

President Marty stated he agreed with Commissioners Thomas and Flaherty, and Coordinator
Backman could report back to the developers and keep the Commission apprised of their efforts.

8. REPORTS

President Marty stated the potential sale of the golf course was discussed in the closed session
during the last meeting, and the discussion is still open and ongoing and will be continued
following the EDA meeting.

City Administrator Ulrich mentioned that the Skyline Motel property acquisition was also
discussed at the last meeting, and the consensus had been to leave that as a developer-driven
project as well.

9.
