Resolution 12-EDA-273, Amending General Home Repair Loan Criteria. 53 <br /> 54 <br />Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz stated this item was discussed in work session last 55 <br />week and was before the EDA for formal action. She noted the original program was approved 56 <br />by the EDA last year and provided for four different home loans. She reviewed the proposed 57 <br />changes in detail with the EDA and recommended amending the General Home Repair Loan 58 <br />Criteria. 59 <br /> 60 <br />Commissioner Hull requested the reference to General Home Repair Program be changed to 61 <br />General Home Improvement Program. This correction should also be reflected in the Resolution. 62 <br /> Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz stated this was an oversight and the correction 63 <br />would be made. 64 <br /> 65 <br />Commissioner Mueller was proud of the EDA for continuing this program to assist in meeting 66 <br />the needs of the community. This program would greatly assist in maintaining the housing stock 67 <br />and home values. She thanked staff for presenting the recommended revisions this evening. 68 <br /> 69 <br />President Flaherty commented this program was available to the residents of Mounds View and 70 <br />further information was on the City’s website. 71 <br /> 72 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Stigney. Review EDC Recommendation Pertaining to the Creation of a County Road 78 <br />10 Taskforce for the Purpose of Creating a Corridor Vision. 79 <br /> 80 <br />Economic Development Specialist Steinmetz stated on July 2nd the EDA discussed in work 81 <br />session the short and long-term goals for the County Road 10 corridor. The EDC discussed this 82 <br />in detail at their July 20th meeting. The EDC was willing to assist with creating a vision for the 83 <br />corridor and suggested the EDA review former development plans, in addition to creating a 84 <br />vision statement. The EDC also recommended the EDA create a County Road 10 corridor task 85 <br />force with two City Councilmembers, several residents and two EDC members. She requested 86 <br />the EDA discuss the possibility of a task force and who should serve on the committee. 87
