EDA Item 7A - April 27, 2009 <br />Request to Acquire 2949 Hwy 10 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The City Council’s #2 goal is “County Road 10 Redevelopment and Revitalization”. One <br />of the Council’s related action steps is to “Aggressively Pursue Redevelopment <br />Opportunities”. Mr. Schnor’s request is a County Road 10 redevelopment opportunity for <br />the EDA to discuss. Listed below are several items for the EDA to consider when <br />discussing this request: <br /> <br />Nearby Redevelopment Project <br />As shown below, the property is in an area that is undergoing private redevelopment. <br />The property is three parcels away from the site of the future Select Senior Living <br />building. <br /> <br />Acquisition Eligibility <br />Mr. Schnor’s property is on the list of parcels eligible for acquisition as part of the EDA’s <br />“Project Plan for the Mounds View Economic Development Project”. The “Project Plan” is <br />a legal document that outlines the EDA’s development and redevelopment plans as <br />authorized per State Statute. <br /> <br />Current Zoning <br />Shown below is the current zoning of the area.
