Mounds View EDA June 13, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />8. REPORTS 84 <br /> 85 <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated that an Executive Session was convened on May 23, 2005 86 <br />at 6:54 p.m. He stated that all Commissioners were present except for Commissioner Thomas. 87 <br />He noted that Director Ericson and City Attorney Riggs were also in attendance. He reviewed 88 <br />stating that the Commission discussed the sale of real property commonly known as The Bridges. 89 <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m. 90 <br /> 91 <br />Barbara Haake referenced the Commission discussions for the sale of The Bridges property 92 <br />stating that she has put together three potential options for The Bridges that she would like to 93 <br />review with the Commission. She stated that it is her understanding that the sale of the property 94 <br />known as The Bridges is for $8.6 million, which when calculated at 72-acres, is $120,000 per 95 <br />acre and noted that the property tax calculation is for raw land. She provided the Commission 96 <br />with copies of the options and gave a brief overview of each. She asked that the Commission 97 <br />give some consideration to option 3 as a part of their discussion and review. 98 <br /> 99 <br />Vice President Stigney stated that they do not have these options on the table and this is not what 100 <br />is happening right now. He added that if they have an interested buyer let the City know. 101 <br /> 102 <br />Commissioner Flaherty asked staff to review and verify Ms. Haake’s numbers. 103 <br /> 104 <br />Andre Koen, 7951 Greenwood Drive, stated that he is new to the City of Mounds View. He 105 <br />stated that he moved to the area due to the mix, closeness to the City and the amount of green 106 <br />space in the area. He stated that he is concerned that the area would become land locked with the 107 <br />sale of this property to Medtronic and asked the Commission to consider this throughout the 108 <br />process. 109 <br /> 110 <br />9. NEXT EDA MEETING: Special Meeting of the EDA for June 20, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. 111 <br />at the Mounds View Community Center, 5394 Edgewood Drive. 112 <br /> 113 <br />10.
