Item No. 10H <br />Meeting Date: December 13, 2004 <br />Type of Business: CB <br />City Administrator Review _______ <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Administrative Assistant <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6406 Setting the 2005 Meeting Dates for City <br />Council Meetings <br /> <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> <br />Based on the Council’s schedule of conducting a Work Session the first Monday of each <br />month and conducting Council meetings the second and fourth Mondays of each month, <br />attached it a proposed list of Council meeting and Work Session dates for 2005. <br /> <br />Three legal holidays fall on dates that would otherwise be considered Council meetings— <br />Independence Day (July 4, 2005), and Labor Day (September 5th), and the day after <br />Christmas (December 26, 2005 - in accordance with Section 3.10 of the Personnel <br />Manual). For these dates, the schedule reflects a Tuesday meeting date. <br /> <br />In addition, Staff has scheduled two Special City Council meetings for 2005. The first <br />meeting will be on Monday, January 3, 2005, at 7pm to administer the Oath of Offices for <br />the newly elected Mayor and Councilmembers. The Work Session will immediately follow <br />this Special City Council Meeting. The second Special City Council meeting will be on <br />Wednesday, February 2, 2004 at 7pm. This meeting will canvass the Special Election and <br />administer the Oath of Office to the newly elected City Councilmember. The Planning <br />Commission meeting will immediately follow this Special Meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Reschedule the meetings that fall on the identified holidays and adopt Resolution 6406 <br />setting the 2005 Meeting Dates for City Council Meetings and Work Sessions. <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Desaree Crane <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
