RESOLUTION NO. 6407 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR TWIN CITIES NORTH <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO ALLOW CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT THE <br />MERMAID ENTERTAINMENT AND EVENT CENTER <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce, has requested that <br />Council allow them to conduct charitable gambling at The Mermaid <br />Entertainment and Event Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of <br />government (city of county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying <br />requests to conduct charitable gambling; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Twin Cities Chamber is in compliance with all <br />requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable <br />gambling regulations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Mounds View to assist in the <br />economic prosperity of local business owners. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby authorize Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce to <br />conduct charitable gambling at The Mermaid Entertainment and Event Center. <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of December, 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />(seal)
