11
STORM SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT
In 2004, the City identified numerous drainage problems. Staff is currently reviewing the list of
larger storm sewer problems and issues and developing a project list to be bid on by outside
contractors. Smaller storm sewer issues will be handled internally.

Potential 2005 projects follow:
Greenfield Park & Oakwood Park outlying areas and ditches - trench and reestablish.
Pinewood Elementary School – re-install 48-inch pipe.
Woodcrest Park – fix washout and eroded swale
ArdanPark holding ponds – clean drainage restrictions

MOUNDS VIEW MANUFACTURED HOME SECOND ACCESS
This project this completed. The only outstanding work is to install the street name blades on top
of the newly erected stop sign at this new intersection. Traffic counts have been taken at this
intersection. Staff will be providing a report on this data early in 2005.

The Mounds View Manufactured Home Park Community is financially responsible for a portion of
this project. This will be added to the assessment hearing scheduled for the spring of 2005.

County Road 10 Redevelopment and Revitalization Plan
On November 22, 2004, the City Council approved Resolution No. 6399 approving a contract
award for work associated with the County Road 10 Redevelopment and Revitalization Project to
the engineering firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates Inc (BRAA). Work on
this project started the week of December 6, 2004. This work mostly entails surveying and data
collection (see attached notice that was sent out to adjacent property owners).

One of the first priorities of this project is to evaluate the feasibility of installing an Emergency
Vehicle Preemption System (EVP) at all signalized intersections. This is the system that allows
emergency and safety vehicles to pass through intersections without conflict with opposing traffic.

Staff will also be conducting a project “kick-off meeting”. All government agencies involved in this
project will be invited. This will be held toward the end of December or first part of January,
depending on individual schedules.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
December 3, 2004
County Road 10 Redevelopment and Revitalization Project

Preliminary Data Collection Notice

Dear Resident / Property Owner:
