Mounds View City Council January 27, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 14 <br /> <br />Council Member Quick had no report. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Council Member Marty suggested Council discuss and fine-tune the policy for turning in 3 <br />expenses for reimbursement as he would like to see a 30 day time limit to reduce the amount of 4 <br />time spent by Staff on the matter. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council agreed to look into the policy for reimbursement while discussing the personnel manual. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Marty commented that Council had asked for a presentation from the Cable 9 <br />Department concerning the current equipment and a plan for the future for the department. He 10 <br />then asked that this be kept in the forefront and not forgotten. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Marty clarified that the Mayor makes a recommendation for appointment not 13 <br />the appointment. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Marty indicated he was at the Community Center this weekend and overheard 16 <br />that one of the treadmills is inoperative again. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Linke had no report. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated the North Metro Mayor’s Association is sponsoring 21 <br />a meeting on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the North Metro 22 <br />Legislators at the State Office Building. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he had received a copy of the final Federal 25 <br />Environmental Assessment for the Anoka County Blaine Airport and any written comments are 26 <br />due to MAC by Wednesday, February 26, 2003. He then indicated he had asked for an executive 27 <br />summary for Council and said he would make the full document available for review. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council asked that the City’s representatives on the Airport Commission be given the 30 <br />information. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated that the Hammerschmidt wrongful termination 33 <br />matter was concluded and the City expects a ruling within four to eight weeks. He also indicated 34 <br />that the issue of unemployment compensation was settled in favor of the City. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Quick asked if there was a copy of the ruling. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he did have the ruling but indicated it was his 39 <br />understanding that the document is a private document. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Quick indicated that in a similar circumstance with Mr. Kessel the City 42 <br />Administrator had read the ruling.
