Resolution 5965 Approving the Contract for a Website with 21
TwinCitiesgolf.com 22
23
Golf Course Manager Burg explained the request for the use of TwinCitiesgolf.com noting that 24
with tight advertising dollars this would be a method of getting the course out there and attracting 25
golfers. 26
27
Mayor Linke asked if golfers would still need to call for a tee time or if online reservations were 28
available. 29
30
Golf Course Manager Burg indicated she had spoken to someone from the telephone company 31
and is working on the City’s reservation line. She then said that this system does not allow for 32
online reservations and the system that does costs 3,500 per year and she does not feel it would 33
be cost effective to pay that fee as she does not feel the online reservations would justify the 34
expenditure. 35
36
Council Member Gunn asked if the golf course is advertised anywhere else. 37
38
Golf Course Manager Burg indicated the course is in Golf Minnesota magazine for the whole 39
season and the only other place is in the phone book. 40
41
MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Gunn.
