Mounds View City Council February 24, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Stigney said he feels that employees should pay for their own coffee and he 2 <br />would like to look into Council Member Marty’s suggestion of a coffee machine. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether Check Number 110312 for the Minnesota Golf 5 <br />Association Membership was a membership for the course or individual. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated it was a course membership. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether Checks 110355 and 110356 for the United States Golf 10 <br />Association was an individual or course membership. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated that it was a course membership and she understands that to 13 <br />have PGA pros the course needed to belong to the USGA. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether the pros are paying their own membership. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg said she would assume that the City pays for Ken’s membership as 18 <br />he is the only pro. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Stigney said he has concerns with the City paying for the membership as there 21 <br />are advantages to the individual. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Stigney asked what the VGM golf memberships were for. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated it is a buying organization for golf courses and, if the City 26 <br />does not save its membership fee over the year, it would be returned. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Council Member Stigney asked why the City was invoiced for $3,099 for attorney’s fees on the 29 <br />billboard at the golf course. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated that the City is invoiced and then the City invoices 32 <br />the other party. 33 <br /> 34 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn.
