MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER 12 <br /> 13 <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 14 <br /> 15 <br />3. ROLL CALL: Linke, Quick, Marty, Stigney, and Gunn 16 <br /> 17 <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 18 <br /> 19 <br /> A. Monday, April 14, 2003 City Council Agenda. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Linke indicated Mr. Connelly was attending another City Council meeting and would 22 <br />arrive somewhere between 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 to address Item 9A under Council Business. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the Monday, April 14, 2003 Agenda as 25 <br />Presented. 26 <br /> 27 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 28 <br /> 29 <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT 30 <br /> 31 <br />David Jahnke of 8428 Eastwood Road indicated he has some Council tapes to catch up on but is 32 <br />very concerned about the budget and the first seven items on this agenda are money items. He 33 <br />then expressed concern of Ms. Haake’s comment that she wished she had spent the surplus 34 <br />budget amounts when Council was discussing taking that money away. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Linke clarified that the surplus in the cable fund comes from the franchise fee and is not a 37 <br />budgetary item. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Mr. Jahnke commented that the police department has not hired for the two vacant officer 40 <br />positions in an attempt to make cuts but no other departments have done any cutting. He then 41 <br />commented that Staff may be at its minimum level to operate but he would like it reviewed. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Mayor Linke indicated that Mr. Ericson is currently serving as three employees. He then said 44 <br />that the City lost four positions last year and Council will be reviewing those positions to 45
