Item No: 08B <br />Meeting Date: August 25, 2003 <br />Type of Business: Consent <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: James Ericson, Community Development Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Approval of Resolution 6071, Authorizing Step <br />Increase for Kathi Osmonson, Mounds View’s <br />Building Official / Fire Marshal <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Kathi Osmonson was hired as the City’s Building Official and Fire Marshal on <br />January 2, 2002 after having served the City in that dual capacity as a contract <br />employee of the Blaine / Spring Lake Park / Mounds View Fire Department. <br />Resolution 5668 authorized the hire and the step schedule. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Ms. Osmonson was hired at Step 3 of the approved salary scale with provisions for <br />an increase to Step 4 after six months of employment and a final increase to Step 5 <br />after eighteen months of employment on July 2, 2003. The City Council approved <br />Resolution 5821 on August 12, 2002 authorizing the increase to Step 4.
