Mounds View City Council August 25, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Marty requested the following change: On Page 4, Line 5 insert Chamber after 2 <br />the grant amount. 3 <br /> 4 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the City Council Minutes for August 11, 2003 5 <br />as Amended. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />11. REPORTS 10 <br /> 11 <br /> A. Reports of Mayor and Council 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Quick had no report. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Marty asked Public Works Director Lee for an update on the County Road H2 16 <br />construction. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that he had contacted the contractor to get a schedule to see 19 <br />how soon they could start and explained that there were some issues with the watershed district 20 <br />concerning the grant for the infiltration devices under the pond. He then indicated it is the intent 21 <br />to move forward with the project and continue working with the watershed district on the issues. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether there is a watering ban right now. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that the City is on an odd even schedule. He then explained 26 <br />that on one day the reservoir was very low so public works went around and asked people not to 27 <br />water on that day. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Linke suggested looking at an administrative offense to enforce the watering ban. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Council Member Quick asked if there were hours of the day when you can sprinkle. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated the hours are not restricted. He then volunteered to look at 34 <br />ways of enforcing the odd even watering ban. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Stigney suggested notifying residents of the odd even requirement rather than 37 <br />jumping to an offense right away. He then suggested putting information on the water bill. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Marty thanked those that participated in the festival in the park and said there 40 <br />were more employees participating this year than ever before. He then thanked the City 41 <br />Administrator for playing in the golf tournament. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Council Member Gunn thanked everyone for attending the festival and gave an overview of the 44 <br />events and said they were all very successful and will be even better next year.
