<br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 720 <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MOUNDS VIEW CITY CODE BY DELETING <br />CHAPTER 1118 PERTAINING TO THE PF, PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT, AND <br />REZONING ALL PF DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney has recommended review of the PF (Public Facilities <br />District) zoning district designation in the Mounds View City Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council and Planning Commission have reviewed the PF (Public <br />Facilities District) zoning district designation in the Mounds View City Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Council and Planning Commission have become <br />aware of a situation concerning parcels zoned PF (Public Facilities District) which necessitates a <br />comprehensive rezoning action; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, only parcels owned by the City of Mounds View are zoned Public Facilities, <br />as stated in Section 1118.02 (Public Facilities Permitted Uses) of the Mounds View City Code; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, according to City Code Section 1118.02, only parcels owned by the City of <br />Mounds View may be zoned PF; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been brought to the City’s attention that the City’s current practice of <br />zoning parcels based on land ownership relative to the PF Zoning district is not consistent with <br />conventional zoning practices; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney has suggested that the City rezone City-owned parcels <br />based upon land use rather than based upon parcel ownership; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends rezoning City-owned parcels to <br />zoning designations consistent with the following table and as shown on the map attached as <br />Exhibit A; and <br />
