Mounds View City Council February 8, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin indicated that there was a long list of items for discussion. <br /> <br />Mr. Whiting indicated that Staff has been working on setting up an icon on the computer for <br />Council to access that would list items to be heard at the work session. <br /> <br />D. Consideration of Resolution No. 5310 Requiring all City Council Created <br />Boards, Commissions and Committees to Cable Cast their Meetings. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty pointed out that most items heard before the Council start at the <br />Commission level and said he feels it is important for residents to be able to watch those <br />Commission meetings to be able to see the discussion from the beginning. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney requested that the resolution be amended to require that all regular and <br />special session meetings be cable cast. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5310, a <br />Resolution Requiring that all City Council Created Boards, Commissions and Committees Cable <br />Cast their Meetings. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Consideration of Resolution No. 5311, Appointing Members to the Mounds <br />View Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Coughlin presented his list of final names for appointment to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Thomason. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5311, a <br />Resolution Appointing Members to the Mounds View Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney indicated he had spoken to the Mayor about the issue of City <br />employees using public works for personal service. <br /> <br />Mr. Whiting indicated that the procedure should be that City employees need to ask for Council <br />permission. He then indicated he would put the matter on the next work session agenda for <br />discussion. <br /> <br />10.
