REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn invited the public to attend Cones with Cops on Thursday, August 2nd at <br />McDonalds from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She noted the rock wall would be at this event. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn stated on Sunday, August 5th the Police Department would be hosting a <br />pre-National Night Out party at City Hall Park from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. She encouraged <br />residents to register their National Night Out/Night to Unite parties with the City. It was noted <br />National Night Out would be on Tuesday, August 7th. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn commented on Saturday, August 11th the Police Department would be <br />hosting a Street Hockey with a Cop event at the Mounds View Mobile Home Park from 12:00 <br />p.m. to 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn invited all residents to attend the Street Dance celebrating Mounds <br />View’s 60th Anniversary on Friday, August 17th. She stated Jonah and the Whales would be <br />playing from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The cost for this event was $5 per person. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn encouraged all residents to attend Festival in the Park on Saturday, <br />August 18th. She commented on all of the events that were scheduled for Festival in the Park. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Tuesday, August 21st the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf would be hosting an <br />Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 3:00 p.m. She explained she was delighted to <br />have this organization in the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he was scheduled to attend a seminar at Bethel Seminary called <br />Faith and Urban Development two weeks ago. Due to unfortunate weather, he was unable to <br />attend but has been supplied with a video and reading materials from the event. He commented <br />on the points that were made during the seminar that addressed needs versus wants. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he attended a Twin Cities Gateway board meeting last <br />week with City Administrator Zikmund. He explained the Gateway’s website continues to see <br />increased activity, which was very positive and noted hotel revenues were on the rise. He <br />suggested the directors of Twin Cities Gateway be invited to attend a future Council meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending an NYFS Board meeting on <br />Wednesday, July 25th. He commented on an opportunity NYFS youth would have to assist with <br />Festival in the Park games. <br />
