The Council directed staff to create revised job descriptions, which would include golf instruction, to have the job descriptions pointed and to recommend a revised salary schedule to the Council. A revised job description and pay scale have been adopted for the Clubhouse Manager. In October, staff was planning to recommend a revised position description and salary range for the Assistant Clubhouse Manager, however, AFSCME asked that the item be pulled from the agenda. The contract with AFSCME has been settled and the 2001 and 2002 wages for the Assistant Clubhouse Manager position as agreed upon are as follows: 2001: 27,541.10 29,262.41 30,983.73 32,705.05 34,426.37 2002: 28,688.64 30,481.68 32,274.72 34,067.76 35,860.80 Staff recommends that the Assistant Clubhouse Manager be placed at step 2 of the 2001 pay range retroactive to June 16, 2002. The Council will recall that at the May 20, 2002 Special City Council meeting the Council adopted a reorganization plan as presented by the Golf Course Manager. The reorganization plan eliminated the Assistant Clubhouse Manager position and created a Grounds/Equipment Manager position. The wages paid for the Assistant Clubhouse Manager position will cover the period of June 16, 2001-May 19, 2002.
