RESOLUTION NO. 5781 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SELECTING COVERAGE FOR THE 2002/2003 INSURANCE <br />POLICIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is currently making application for insurance <br />policies to cover the period of July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 466.04 require that the City Council elect to not <br />waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability prior to the effective date of the <br />coverage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It is not in the best interest of the City of Mounds View to waive the <br />monetary limits; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View’s insurance has for several years provided <br />worker’s compensation coverage for members of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the insurance policy requires that worker’s compensation coverage for <br />members of the City Council be decided in a resolution passed by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View that the monetary limits on municipal tort liability are not waived and that <br />workers compensation coverage for members of the City Council shall be provided. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 10th day of June 2002. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> Rich Sonterre, Mayor <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Kathleen Miller, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />Motion By: <br />Second By: <br /> <br />Sonterre: <br />Quick: <br />Stigney: <br />Thomas: <br />Marty:
