<br /> <br />B. Insurance <br />The City shall assure that Ramsey County, its officials, employees <br />and volunteers are named as additional insureds on all certificates <br />or insurance required by the City of its contractors for construction <br />of the trail. Such coverage shall also provide cross liability/cross- <br />suits endorsement for the protection of the County. The City shall <br />require insurance coverages and limits that are adequate to cover <br />the risks associated with this contract. Copies of all insurance <br />certificates shall be filed with the Director of Ramsey County Parks <br />and Recreation Department. <br /> <br />C. Prevailing Wage <br />The City shall require all contractors and subcontractors to conform <br />to the labor laws of the State of Minnesota, and all other laws, <br />ordinances, and legal requirements affecting the work in Ramsey <br />County and Minnesota. The minimum wage rate per hour to be <br />paid for each classification of work shall be the union wage rate in <br />the locality of the project for those classifications over which the <br />unions have jurisdiction and the local prevailing rate for those <br />classifications of work in the localities over which the unions do not <br />have jurisdiction. <br /> <br />D. Workforce Diversity <br />The City shall make good faith efforts throughout the terms of this <br />Agreement, and extensions thereof, to employ persons of color for <br />all classifications of work under this Agreement and require its <br />contractor to do the same. The City shall, when requested by the <br />County, submit a written report to the County regarding the efforts <br />and results of such efforts, including employment by job <br />classification. <br /> <br />E. Non-Violence <br />The City shall require that the contractor shall make all reasonable <br />efforts to ensure that contractor’s employees, officials and <br />subcontractors do not engage in violence while performing under <br />this contract. Violence, as defined by the Ramsey Workplace <br />Violence Policy, is any action that is the use of physical force, <br />harassment, or intimidation or abuse of power or authority where <br />the impact is to control by causing pain, fear or hurt. <br /> <br />F. Subcontractor Payment <br />The City shall require prime contractors to pay any subcontractor <br />within ten days of the prime contractor’s receipt of payment from <br />the City for undisputed services provided by the subcontractor. The <br />prime contractor shall pay interest of 1½ percent per month or any <br />part of a month to the subcontractor on any undisputed amount not <br />paid on time to the subcontractor. The minimum monthly interest <br />penalty payment for an unpaid balance of $100.00 or more is
