Mounds View City Council February 25, 2002 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Item D was removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />City Administrator Miller requested that Item A be removed for a brief comment. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Lee requested that Item 6H be removed for discussion of a revision of the <br />funding source. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney requested that Item I be removed for discussion. <br /> <br />Council Member Marty requested that Item G be removed for discussion. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty. To Approve Consent Agenda Item I as Presented. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether travel expenses and salary were covered under the grant. <br /> <br />Acting Chief Brennan indicated that travel expenses were covered but the City has to pay the <br />employee’s wages for the two days. <br /> <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether the employee would be paid for traveling to and <br />returning from the training. <br /> <br />Acting Chief Brennan indicated that the employee would be paid during normal business hours. <br /> <br />Mayor Sonterre asked whether the officer receiving the training would be qualified to train other <br />officers on the use of the equipment after this training. <br /> <br />Acting Chief Brennan indicated he would be. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Thomas/Quick. To Approve Consent Agenda Item A as presented. <br /> <br />City Administrator Miller indicated that two checks would be voided and noted that Check <br />Number 107629 to Elegant Thymes in the amount of $4,181.00 would be changed to $1,790.95 <br />and the check to Kath Auto Parts should be in the amount of $38.32 not $104.68. <br /> <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Stigney. To Approve Consent Agenda Item H as presented. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Lee handed out a revised copy of the staff report and noted the funding <br />source for the computer software had been changed to be funded through the Community <br />Center’s budget as that is a more appropriate expenditure. <br />
