A $5, 000 grant was received for the audio <br /> visual equipment and the remainder will come from the General Fund. <br /> The sound equipment will come from the cable budget from franchise <br /> fees paid. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to Approve Bid Award for Council <br /> Chambers Audio Visual Equipment to EPA Audio Visual, Inc. in the <br /> Amount of $17, 134 . 00 <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> REPORTS: <br /> 1. Report of Councilmembers: <br /> a. Councilmember Trude reported that she had received a call from <br /> a resident who commended the City on Groveland rink -- quality <br /> of ice was great, attendant was warm and friendly and his <br /> children were having a good time skating on this City rink. <br /> . Mayor Linke pointed out that Gary Quick, Gary's son Mike, <br /> Gary's brother-in-law, Ernie Lapore and Don Neeck helped the <br /> City get this rink up and running. <br /> Councilmember Trude wished to pass this compliment on to <br /> everyone involved with the rinks. <br /> b. Councilmember Wuori - No report. <br /> c. Councilmember Quick - No report. <br /> d. Councilmember Blanchard - No report. <br /> Report of Mayor Linke: <br /> a. Mayor Linke announced that two residents, who attend the Council <br /> meetings regularly, were awarded the highest award possible, the <br /> Melvin Jones Award, by the Lion's Club at their recent convention. <br /> Mayor Linke congratulated Alice and Bill Frits in receiving the <br /> Melvin Jones Fellowship Award. <br /> Report of Administrator: <br /> a. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, announced that on January 19, <br /> 1994, at Edgewood Middle School at 7: 00 p.m. the Focus 2000 Forum <br /> will take place. The three focus groups will present their <br /> preliminary report. The City had excellent turnouts at their past <br /> forum meetings. Orduno stated that everyone should try to attend <br />
