Mounds View City Council Page Sixteen <br /> • Regular Meeting May 9, 1994 <br /> Linke stated the counties are trying to assert their power at this <br /> time. <br /> Trude commented that this would be another state mandated cost. <br /> REPORTS <br /> 1. Report of Councilmembers: <br /> Councilmember Quick: No report <br /> Councilmember Blanchard: No report <br /> Councilmember Wuori: No report <br /> Councilmember Trude: No report <br /> Report of Mayor Linke: <br /> a. ) Thanked all residents who stopped on White Cane Day and gave their <br /> donations. <br /> b. ) Thanked his wife for putting up with him for 25 years as it was his <br /> 25th anniversary. <br /> • c. ) Passed on best wishes to Samantha Orduno's daughter who was involved <br /> in an MTC bus accident two blocks from home. <br /> Report of Administrator <br /> Orduno reported that a successful Spring Clean Up was held. Michele <br /> Severson and Paul Harrington ran the Spring Clean Up Day and things went <br /> very smooth. <br /> Duane McCarty, resident, he offered his services to help work <br /> with the Council on the 800 megahertz system. <br /> Reportof -Staff <br /> Mike Ulrich, Director of Public Works, reported that flushing of <br /> watermains will be taking place this week. If residents experience brown <br /> water or low pressure it will go back to normal within a few minutes. <br /> Ulrich stated that water has been clearing up with new treatment plant on <br /> line and the revisions of the two other water plants. Ulrich reported <br /> that if water remains as clear as it has the last two or three months the <br /> City may not have to flush watermains. <br /> Final agreement with TCAAP will be brought to Council for approval. The <br /> Army Ammunition Plant is going to hook up to our water system. The <br /> City' s only responsibility would be to read the meter and bill them for <br /> usage. <br />
