Mounds View City Council Page Eight <br /> 410 Regular Meeting May 23 , 1994 <br /> 7 : 10 p.m. - Consideration of the Development Review for C. G. Hill <br /> Mayor Linke opened the public hearing for C. G. Hill at 8 : 03 p.m. <br /> Paul Harrington, Community Development Coordinator, reported that C. G. <br /> Hill's request for a proposed 29, 568 square foot facility on the Building <br /> M site of the Mounds View Business Park. Harrington stated that the <br /> applicant has also requested approval of a major subdivision to allow for <br /> the subdivision of a portion of Pinecrest Addition which would create a <br /> 2 . 64 acre lot fronting on Quincy Drive. Harrington further reported that <br /> staff had checked with the City Attorney and the proposed subdivision <br /> request meets all applicable requirements of the City Code. <br /> Harrington stated that C. G. Hill is also proposing that the property be <br /> rezoned from I-1 to PUD, Planned Unit Development to accommodate the use <br /> of the parcel as part of the overall Business Park complex. Harrington <br /> commented that this request is consistent with the plan for development <br /> of the Park originally submitted in the late 1980' s. <br /> a. Consideration of Resolution No. 4573 Approving the Development <br /> Review for C. G. Hill <br /> Harrington recommended that Resolution No. 4573 Approving the Development <br /> 40 Review Request of C. G. Hill, Mounds View Business Park East be amended <br /> by adding the revision date of May 23 , 1994 to Item 2 for the site plan. <br /> Harrington also recommended that contingency number 1 be removed from <br /> Resolution No. 4573 as the developer has already addressed this item. <br /> Tim Nelson, Everest, Ltd. , displayed a site plan for the building and <br /> presented the layout for the public. Nelson explained that Mr. Hill <br /> is relocating his facility to Mounds View and plans to work a single <br /> shift of approximately 30 to 40 employees. C. G. Hill is involved in the <br /> precision machining business. <br /> Gounci-l-member Trude indicated that Mr. Hill_- was --in -the--a-udience. <br /> -- ------ <br /> Unknown resident asked if the water would drain into the creek. <br /> Nelson explained that the water goes through the highway drainage system <br /> before it goes into a pond. Rice Creek Watershed District requires as a <br /> standard that you cannot increase the rate of flow with the development. <br /> Councilmember Wuori asked what color the exterior of the building would <br /> be. <br /> Mr. Hill indicated that he had not made up his mind, but was leaning <br /> towards white. <br /> • <br />
