Mounds View City Council Page Nine <br /> 0 Regular Meeting June 27, 1994 <br /> A. Presentation of 1994/95 Insurance Renewals <br /> Don Brager, Finance Director, introduced Charles Clysdale of the <br /> Maguire Agency who presented a condensed outline of the City's <br /> insurance program and a premium comparison of the 1994/95 rates to <br /> 1993/94 rates. Mr. Clysdale explained that the LMCIT did not change <br /> any of the workers compensation or renewal premiums and the City's <br /> experience modifier was reduced from . 83 to . 75 . Mr. Clysdale did <br /> recommend that the City increase fidelity coverage from $50, 000 to <br /> $100, 000 on the employee faithful performance bond for an additional <br /> premium of $319 . <br /> Mayor Linke thanked Mr. Clysdale, Don Brager and the staff for <br /> keeping the rates low. Linke stated that this is <br /> the second year that the City has received a reduction. Linke <br /> stated that the staff' s work ethics makes it possible to receive the <br /> reduction. Linke states that the City has a staff that looks after <br /> themselves and keeps good safety standards. Many cities have a lot <br /> of claims, but the City of Mounds View doesn't <br /> Councilmember Quick echoed the Mayor' s comments and commended the <br /> staff on doing a good job. <br /> Orduno commented that she would pass the "kudos" onto staff. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to Approval the Renewal Quotation <br /> from the LMCIT for Renewal of the City' s Insurance Policies in the <br /> Amount of $150, 924 Plus Increase Faithful Performance Coverage for <br /> an Additional Premium of $319 and Have Attorney Make Recommendation <br /> on Excess Liability Coverage at a Cost of $28 , 934 <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> B. Consideration of Request to Purchase Used Truck, Utility Cart and <br /> GolfCartfor the Golf- Course Operations - -- <br /> Mary Saarion, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry gave an <br /> overview of the utility cart and golf cart and their uses. Saarion <br /> reported that three bids were received for each item. Kurt Johnson, <br /> Golf Course Superintendent, recommended the purchase of the Cushman <br /> Utility Cart at $10, 620 and the E-Z Go Golf Car for $3 , 850 to be <br /> Funded with Golf Course Monies. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Quick to Approve the Purchase of the Cushman <br /> Utility Cart at $10 , 620 and the E-Z Go Golf Car for $3 , 850 <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Saarion reviewed the purchase of a pick up truck and what the needs <br /> were. The pick up would be used to make parts runs and pick up <br />
