411Mounds View City Council Page Seven <br /> 1 Regular Meeting July 25, 1994 <br /> 7: 15 p.m. Consideration of Request for Conditional Use Permit (oversized <br /> accessory building) of Rodney Schultz , 5505 Quincy Street <br /> Mayor Linke opened the public hearing for Conditional Use Permit for <br /> Rodney Schultz, 5505 Quincy Street. <br /> Paul Harrington, Community Development Coordinator, explained that Rodney <br /> Schultz had made application for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the <br /> utilization of an existing 320 square foot building on his property as an <br /> accessory building following the construction of a new garage on the <br /> site. Harrington stated that this application meets all requirements of <br /> the Code. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4605 Approving the <br /> Request by Rodney Schultz for a Conditional Use Permit to Allow An <br /> Oversized Accessory Building at 5505 Quincy Street <br /> Councilmember Wuori had a concern regarding the setback requirement. <br /> Harrington explained that he talked to the applicant about the setback <br /> and the applicant stated that the setbacks will be met. <br /> 4111 <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 7 : 20 p.m. Consideration of Request for Conditional Use Permit <br /> (extension) Church Upon the Rock, 7901 Red Oak Drive <br /> Paul Harrington, Community Development Coordinator, explained the <br /> background of the temporary accessory structure that was approved in 1988 <br /> which included a five year sunset clause. Harrington pointed out that in <br /> September of 1993 the Conditional Use Permit was extended to July 1, <br /> 1994 . Harrington further explained that, at this time, the applicant is <br /> requesting an additional—extension of—two- years—be—granted—to—allow—more-- <br /> time <br /> wo- years be granted to a-llowmoretime for the Church to assess its needs and options in relation to the <br /> site. Harrington stated that the Conditional Use Permit would be null <br /> and void if the property was sold. <br /> Councilmember Blanchard stated that the Council should realize that this <br /> resolution is setting a precedent for granting extensions of these <br /> Conditional Use Permits. Blanchard stated that she felt one year would <br /> be better. <br /> Councilmember Trude stated that Conditional Use Permits are looked at <br /> case by case. Trude stated that Church Upon the Rock is still seeking <br /> additional space for expansion. <br /> 1111 Mike Hegland representing Church Upon the Rock explained that the Church <br /> is working on finalizing the purchase agreement for the Rice Creek <br />
