• Mounds View City Council Page Seven <br /> Regular Meeting September 26, 1994 <br /> G. Consideration of Payment to Midwest Asphalt in the Amount of <br /> $81, 001.80 for the Patching Contract <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, on behalf of Mike Ulrich the <br /> Public Works Director who was unable to attend the meeting, reported <br /> that the amount to be paid is over the bidded price because of the <br /> extra work needed on some of the streets, i.e. , manholes needed to <br /> be raised, numerous potholes, inadequate base material and severe. <br /> alligator craking. Orduno reported that these conditions warranted <br /> complete removal of a few segments of roads. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to Approve Payment of $81, 001.80 to <br /> Midwest Asphalt for the Patching Contract <br /> VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> REPORTS <br /> 1. Report of Councilmembers: <br /> Councilmember Quick - No report. <br /> 1111 Councilmember Blanchard - No report. <br /> Councilmember Wuori: No report. <br /> Councilmember Trude: Absent <br /> Report of Administrator: <br /> Reported that the City received a press release from the <br /> Metropolitan Airport Commission that addresses the plans for the <br /> Anoka County/Blaine Airport. Orduno reported that representatives <br /> from the Metropolitan Airports Commission will be in attendance at <br /> the Council's Work Session on October 3, to explain the Master Plan <br /> update which addresses the potential for a parallel runway and an <br /> air traffic control tower. Orduno encouraged members of the public <br /> to attend as there will be representatives from the airport itself <br /> to address any concerns that people might have. <br /> Report of Mayor Linke: <br /> Mentioned that the Irondale Marching Band is having a gathering of <br /> the bands from around the State of Minnesota (field show <br /> competition) at Irondale High School this weekend. Twelve bands <br /> will perform. Mayor Linke encouraged persons who were interested in <br /> 4111 attending to contact Irondale High School. <br />
