• Mounds View City Council Page Seven Regular Meeting September 26, 1994 G. Consideration of Payment to Midwest Asphalt in the Amount of $81, 001.80 for the Patching Contract Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, on behalf of Mike Ulrich the Public Works Director who was unable to attend the meeting, reported that the amount to be paid is over the bidded price because of the extra work needed on some of the streets, i.e. , manholes needed to be raised, numerous potholes, inadequate base material and severe. alligator craking. Orduno reported that these conditions warranted complete removal of a few segments of roads. MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to Approve Payment of $81, 001.80 to Midwest Asphalt for the Patching Contract VOTE: 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried REPORTS 1. Report of Councilmembers: Councilmember Quick - No report. 1111 Councilmember Blanchard - No report. Councilmember Wuori: No report. Councilmember Trude: Absent Report of Administrator: Reported that the City received a press release from the Metropolitan Airport Commission that addresses the plans for the Anoka County/Blaine Airport. Orduno reported that representatives from the Metropolitan Airports Commission will be in attendance at the Council's Work Session on October 3, to explain the Master Plan update which addresses the potential for a parallel runway and an air traffic control tower. Orduno encouraged members of the public to attend as there will be representatives from the airport itself to address any concerns that people might have. Report of Mayor Linke: Mentioned that the Irondale Marching Band is having a gathering of the bands from around the State of Minnesota (field show competition) at Irondale High School this weekend. Twelve bands will perform. Mayor Linke encouraged persons who were interested in 4111 attending to contact Irondale High School.
