Mounds View City Council Page 3 111 Regular Meeting November 29, 1994 RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: Mayor Linke explained that this portion of the meeting was designated for anyone who wished to speak to the Council on items that were not on the Agenda and asked if there were any residents requests and comments from the floor. There were none. PUBLIC HEARINGS: Consideration of Resolution No. 4669 Approving the Conditional Use Permit Request of Peter McIntyre, 2917 County Road H2, for an Oversized Accessory Building Mayor Linke opened the public hearing at 7 : 05 p.m. Paul Harrington, Community Development Coordinator, explained that following the construction of a new garage on Peter McIntyre's property, the old garage remains. Mr McIntyre has decided to utilize the old garage, which is 308 square feet, as an accessory building. Municipal Code allows for an accessory building up to 216 square feet in size with an over-the-counter building permit, and an accessory building up to 400 square feet in size with the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit. Harrington commented that this item had been reviewed by the Mounds View Planning Commission. Based on their review, the Planning Commission has recommended approval of a Conditional Use Permit with the following conditions: (1) The Conditional Use Permit shall be recorded with Ramsey County. (2) The building shall be maintained to provide a uniform appearance with the dwelling unit. (3) The accessory building does not exceed 400 square feet. (4) The only vehicles that may be stored in the accessory building are licensed collector vehicles. (5) There shall be no improved driving surface leading up to the accessory building. Harrington reported that he had prepared Resolution No. 4669 for consideration of this item by the Council. Mr. Heitmiller, 7320 Knollwood Drive, asked if the standing structure would remain in its present condition.
