Mounds View City Council Page Two <br /> 41, Public Hearing - Truth in Taxation November 30, 1994 <br /> An unidentified person in the audience asked why the City was going to <br /> hire a housing inspector. <br /> Mayor Linke replied that the City's Building Inspector does not have the <br /> time to inspect all apartment buildings (each unit) more than once per <br /> year. Linke explained that in the near future this position may help <br /> homeowners with point of sale inspections. Linke stated that this person <br /> may be able to help elderly residents receive low interests loans so that <br /> they can upgrade their homes so that they can sell it. A discussion <br /> followed regarding mobile home parks. <br /> Bill Frits, 8076 Long Lake Road, stated that he received a letter in the <br /> mail from his homeowner's insurance saying that if you have a detached <br /> garage or any other building on your lot they would provide insurance at <br /> an additional cost. <br /> Mr. Frits was encouraged to contact the insurance commissioner. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Trude/Wuori to Call to Order on the 5th of December, 1994 <br /> to Adopt the 1995 Budget and 1995 Property Tax Levy at 7 : 00 p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers at Mounds View City Hall <br /> 411 Councilmember Blanchard asked if it would be better to adopt the budget <br /> during the meeting on December 12th as it is better attended. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Linke announced that a meeting would be held to adopt the 1995 <br /> budget and 1995 property tax levy on Monday, December 5, 1994 at 7:00 <br /> p.m. in the Council Chambers at Mounds View City Hall. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Mayor Linke adjourned the Truth In Taxation Public Hearing at 8: 15 p.m. <br /> Rgspect ully su mitted, <br /> • <br /> Miciele Severson <br /> Recording Secretary <br />
